Past Projects

    • Explosive and health hazard (eg. dioxine) material specific receptor and sensing platform development: We worked on 1) explosive and health hazard material specific receptor and 2) microcantilever sensing platform for high specific and sensitive explosive detection.  
    • Smart surface patterning for hydrophobicity/oleophobicity: We developed smart metal surface having super-hydrophobic and super-oleophobic properties. The developed fabrication methods can be applied to  three dimensional large scale metal structures.

    • Nanotube based gas sensing devices and system: We developed nanotube based gas sensing system for fire symptom monitoring. Our target gases are CO, NO2, NH3, SO2, etc.

    • Multi-channel quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) sensing platform: We worked on 4-channel QCM chip design, fabrication, and measurement system. 
    • Smart engineering human resources development 

    • Flow sensor for fuel-cell system applications: We developed MEMS thermal flow sensor for fuel cell system applications.

    • Nanoimprinting machine development: We developed large area UV imprinting machine.

    • Gas pipeline safety monitoring: We developed gas pipeline safety monitoring system using MEMS tilt sensor array, pressure sensors, etc. (Co-work w/ Prof. Donghoon Shin)
